well, you do need to install devel/libunwind, as mentioned in the readme

% ldd -a build/lib/heaptrack/libheaptrack_inject.so
build/lib/heaptrack/libheaptrack_inject.so:
        libunwind.so.8 => /usr/local/lib/libunwind.so.8 (0x801e00000)
