After stopping hald (from a VT while not logged into plasma) and logging in,
the GUI becomes unresponsive and no applications will launch. When I tried
switching to ttyv0 (Ctrl+Alt+F1), it started jumping back and forth between the
VT and the GUI. I had to tap the power button to shut down.
HAL is still a dependency for plasma5, so how could it not be installed?
