first excerpt from xsession log
Scenario:
- FreeBSD releng/12.0 at latest patchlevel
- ports up-to-date
- Plasma 5.15.x (if I remember correctly, this did not happen with versions
before 5.15.0)
- 12 desktops, arranged in 2 columns x 6 rows
- Right-click on an icon in the task bar or the task bar itself
- Select "Configure Task Manager..."
- Set "Sorting" to "By Desktop"
Result:
- The program icons in the task bar are sorted seemingly randomly
- When switching desktops, the program icons in the task bar switch positions,
also seemingly randomly
Scenario (continued):
- Right-click on an icon in the task bar or the task bar itself
Result:
- The task bar crashes (vanishes completely), then reappears (restarts)
- Repeatedly right-clicking on the task and selecting "Configure Task
Manager..." bar makes it crash every second time. This is repeatable.
I am sure that I have this behavior since 5.15.0; I am also quite sure that it
did not occur before.
Setting "Sorting" to "Alphabetically" seems to do just that, but the crashing
every other time still happens.
Attached two excerpts from the xsession log file when going through such cycles
of two attempts at "Configure Task Manager..."
