battery icon in the panel && battery life time

Hello,

In the panel there is a small battery icon. When I unplug the power, it says on
mouse over '5:04 Remaining (100%)' the value is correct, more or less
what the 5:04 hours regards. But, how the KDE gets to know this? The
ACPI only says the percentage, and not the life time:

$ sysctl -a | grep acpi.battery
hw.acpi.battery.info_expire: 5
hw.acpi.battery.units: 1
hw.acpi.battery.state: 0
hw.acpi.battery.rate: 0
hw.acpi.battery.time: -1
hw.acpi.battery.life: 100

How KDE calculates from the percentage the life time?
