I added a slightly modified version of your idea to the plasma5 branch in r
13609.

I'm not quite sure if it is ideal to have just "bits" of plasma5 in the
ports tree, when
we cannot provide the whole desktop -- which we can't until wayland is
in... But
we should maybe think about it ^^
