Hi Jay

You got the wrong number, this is the kde-specific mailing list ;) 

Still, have a look here, in the official handobok:
	https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/x11-wm.html 
At the bottom of the page is a paragraph [5.7.3 Xfce] on xfce4. 

It boils down to executing startxfce4 from your .xinitrc or using 
a display manager like gdm/kdm/xdm to launch it for you.
