[kde-freebsd] Kdevelop debug mode

Hi folks,

is it just me having issues with kdevelop debug mode or is it known to be 
broken? If stock gdb is used (which it is by default) then I first get a 
message that the gdb is too old, then I get a message that the ttys and ptys 
are not readable, then kdevelop crashes.
Installing a recent gdb and setting the path fixes the first warning and the 
crash, but the warning concerning the ttys stays and the whole thing doesnt 
seem to work.
Of course I have checked the permissions and even added my user to the tty 
group.

Any ideas?
