Were you actually in the area51 directory when you ran this?
If you checked out the area51 repository into your current directory, then the 
path you would want would be area51/Tools/scripts/.  So you would run:

# ./area51/Tools/scripts/kdemerge -o /usr/ports
or
# sh area51/Tools/scripts/kdemerge -o /usr/ports
