Are you sure you have not updated kdepim to 4.7 as well? Not that this
wipes anything out, but it's the closest possibility I can think of --
the 4.4 kdepim series we ship in the ports tree has not been updated for
quite a while, and KNotes itself has been unmaintained for even longer
(there are talks upstream about moving it elsewhere and leaving only
KJots in kdepim, btw).
