Tried that. Worked a bit, but about 5 of the kde ports just wouldn't
work no mater what combination of things I tried.

Thanks for the confirmation. I thought that given the age of the bug it
might have been addressed already but clearly not. It weird that this is
the first time I've ever hit the problem before, but oh well.
