I am now running kde-4.6.2 while gstreamer isn't even installed any more. The 
bad thing is that I don't manage to set up OPTIONS that get rid of gstreamer.

The only thing I was able to change that won't cause trouble to gstreamer-
users is to remove the phonon-gst dependency of www/qt4-webkit which certainly 
doesn't care for the phonon-backend.
