kwin(7752) KWin::EffectsHandlerImpl::loadEffect:
EffectsHandler::loadEffect : Effect  "kwin4_effect_sharpen"  is not
supported 

What video card and driver are you using?  Are you trying to use an
OpenGL screen saver with a non accelerated card?  Can you provide output
of /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
