[kde-freebsd] automoc causing hang 7.2-Release #0 amd

Multiple kde4 ports hang during portupgrade on a new intel 
Core 2 quad processor system. The installation was created 
using downloaded amd CD iso set from freebsd.org 
(incidentally the the dvd .iso file produces a corrupt 
download).

Automoc4 process hangs.

Could this have anything to do with MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE="YES" 
in the Makefiles?

Please advise what information might be useful to diagnose 
problem.
