[kde-freebsd] Just installed PC-BSD 7.1.1 and updated it. Konsole fails to run.

Running Konsole brings up a window named "1", which immediately closes.

This is my first experience with PC-BSD, and it is lacking so far.  On
the other hand, the install and update went very well...

How can I tell

I was a newbie sysadmin on SCO >20 years ago, and I have been using
Linux for a couple of years, so I know some things, but not others.
