I've only tried this with one device so far (a second generation
Shuffle) and it looks like I was stymied by the fact that the GEOM
label had a space in it.  Based on the HAL FAQ at:

http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/halfaq.html

spaces are not supported in our current implementation.  Could this be
an an issue for you?
