[kde-freebsd] why does Konq display javascript?

folks, if there is a more appropriate list for this question, please gibe
me a pointer.  --i just realized that the google ads i have in certain
files do not display using konq, but they do show up if  i use firefox.
i have both java and javascript turned On, but i'm wondering if there is
another control that i need to check.
