Sounds like we're in the same boat, then. I don't think any global 
shortcuts worked for me, either (like alt-f2), but alt-tab is naturally 
the one I can't live without. I'll probably do the same thing tomorrow or 
so. Gotta love zfs snapshots for rolling something like that back if it 
doesn't work! If you have any luck, let me know.
