[kde-freebsd] trouble with KDE text-to-speech apps

	Before I upgraded to the new xorg (7.2), I had managed to get
	the KDE speech apps working. No longer. Following is what's in
	/boot/loader.conf and what stsctl shows.

	p3 11:57 <tao2> [469] more loader.conf
sound_load="YES"                 # Digital sound subsystem
snd_driver_load="YES"            # All sound drivers
hw.snd.maxautovchans=4
hw.snd.pcm0.vchans=4

	p3 11:54 <tao2> [464] sysctl -a | grep vchans
hw.snd.maxautovchans: 4
hw.snd.pcm0.vchans: 1

	Setting "hw.snd.pcm0.vchans=4" makes no difference. Still no speech.
	But running xmms against an mp3 file does work. I'm out of
	ideas. Any suggestions on whatmight be the problem?

	thanks,

	gary
