Qt4 will come in for KDE when KDE4 hits the tree. Estimate from the KDE 
side is late October this year. KDE3 will never use Qt4.

It seems it is brought in as a LIB_DEPENDS on (at least) 
devel/qt4-corelib. I'm not sure if it could be made optional, I guess 
lofi could comment on that.
