This is a question of terminology: A KMyMoney Transaction _always_ contains at
least one Split (explained in the manual

It sounds like your Transaction contains _only_ one split which says how much
money is moving out of or into an account, but KMyMoney uses "double-entry"
bookkeeping where you also say where the money is going to or coming from and
this is another Split which can be a category (e.g. "Food and Drink") or
another account (e.g. "My Savings Account").

I'm re-closing this bug on the grounds that it's explained in the manual.
