`setXattr`, called from `checkXattrFsSupport`, unconditionally sets `m_SkipXattr`.
You want something like
bool canRead = checkXattrFsSupport(homeDir);
bool canWrite = checkXattrFsSupport(otherHomeDir);
if (canRead && canWrite) {
and get rid of the `m_SkipXAttr` variable.
