REVISION SUMMARY
  I know this may be a stupid workaround, but I think it could give you some idea to fix the root cause of the bug.
  
  Usage:
  
  - in SystemTray's ConfigEntries.qml, use plasmoidRootItem.get(string property) instead of plasmoid.rootItem.property
