REVISION SUMMARY
  `QtGraphicalEffects` only works then, otherwise we render no thumbnail whatsoever

TEST PLAN
  Ran `QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software systemsettings5` I can now see the grid delegates again, albeit with no shadow or border around it
