Interestingly, kapidox seems to understand the markdown synatx for headings. I tried it out (http://api.kde.org/frameworks-api/frameworks5-apidocs/kapidox/html/, sudo zypper install kapidox, kgenapidox ./frameworks/knewstuff/). It generates 3 headings (Introduction, Details and TODOs). Nevertheless, I also see now that there are plenty of issues to be fixed when I look at the generated documentation.
