Hello frameworkers,
This email arrives a bit late as Romain already started the hostilities. ;-)
So welcome everyone on this mailing list. It's aiming at being the continuity
of the work started during Platform11 and to become the main forum for the
development of our KDE Frameworks offering.
To keep the signal/noise ratio high, this list is read-only by default to
people subscribing, the almighty David Faure will be our dedicated moderator
and he'll let mails get through on a case by case basis. Once a poster get a
"clear" track record, he'll get allowed to write on the list
It's somewhat a bit restrictive, but just like kde-core-devel in fact. The
goal here is to have a similar policy to kde-core-devel while having a
narrower topic: KDE Frameworks.
So if everything goes well, this list will be about:
* The ongoing work on splitting kdelibs;
* Technical discussions about the KDE Frameworks development (primarily
between maintainers);
* Patch reviewing for the smaller KDE Frameworks (the big solutions like
Plasma, Akonadi and so on already have more focused forums);
* Coordination on the KDE Frameworks production and releases (including QA,
repository organization, etc.).
This list should not be about:
* User support;
* Developer support (as in: How to use "KFoo" to implement "baz"? for that
maintainers are expected to engage with developers on kde-core-devel, other
specialized lists or even in a peer to peer fashion).
Thanks for listening. :-)
Regards.
