Hi gang,
Stephane has been working on a gnucash importer in skrooge. He now has something that we can start testing. Since gnucash file is also XML, he said importing kmy file should be quite easy to do now. But we don't want to do that if for some reason you are not OK with us importing kmy.
Similarly, we are also ready to start implementing kmy export in Skrooge. Same question, are you OK with that ? I know some application developpers don't like other apps generating their format (compatibility issues, maybe ?).
Still, even if we do kmy import / export in skrooge, I think one of the interesting topics to discuss in the Spring Sprint is a common library for exchanging financial data, as mentionned already by Alvaro. We could even imagine dicussing it with other free financial apps developpers (homebank, grisbi, gnucash, ...).
Tell me what you think !
Thanks,
Guillaume
