[Kde-faq] virtual Desktops in KDE

Hello,
I use KDE 1.x.
Normally after installing the system I had 4 virtual Desktops
named with "one","two","three","four"

But nowadays I have only two ones,both named with "&"
What can be the reason. Which files must I correct?
