After quite some time banging my head on the wall, I discovered that you need to set the minimum version of KDE to 3.2 for ./configure to set the KCONFIG_COMPILER variable correctly. This should fix problems with scsi device detection. * Warn about shortened filenames due to Joliet restrictions before starting the burning process. It wasn't working: ./configure kept setting the KCONFIG_COMPILER variable to '' instead of '/usr/bin/kconfig_compiler'. After quite some time banging my head on the wall, I discovered that you need to set the minimum version of KDE to 3.2 for ./configure to set the KCONFIG_COMPILER variable correctly.
