[Kde-extra-gear] allocation of memory

while trying to burn cds just recently,  I am getting the error "cannot 
allocate memory".  This is a new error as I have been burning cds quite often 
in the past couple of weeks.  I am using k3b but get the same message from 
xcdroast.  I believe it is cdrecord that is giving the error.  Any help would 
be greatly appreciated.
