Mark is right. TAG, not BRANCH..
And isn't for whole keg, but for all apps one b one. keg have the 
particularity of many apps advance faster and ohers take some time to reach 
their new "stable" version.
So the idea is the developer have the stable tag on your app pointing for that 
last stable version on your code. When you reach a new relaeas just move the 
tag forwarcd for this new one.
Reason ? I will provide at least stable tarball packages in any official KDE 
release.
Why ? Give the users and packager some garantie that such app match with the 
released kde.
Pro's ? All keg apps will gain the momentum visibility of all kde launch.
