On a new clean tree in a machine withou digikam

cd kdeextragear-3
./configure --prefix=/usr <manyoptions...>
..
...
checking if Digikam is installed... checking digikam/imageplugin.h 
usability... no
checking digikam/imageplugin.h presence... no
checking for digikam/imageplugin.h... no
configure: WARNING: Can't find Digikam headers.
Please install Digikam from kdeextrager-3 to get the most out of 
DigikamImagePlugins

So i need compile kdeextragear-3 2 times to have digikamplugins available ?

Sugestion: There's no way to use the already compiled digikam during the 
build ?
