Hi,

one of the outcomes of this year Akademy 2017 has been to explore the
possibility of creating a demo we can show at automotive, events where we
can provide a view of what KDE technologies can potentially do
(capabilities). It will also be a way for KDE to learn how this industry
operates and how KDE can fit in those open and collaborative environments
that the last couple of years are gaining traction within the industry,
like AGL and GENIVI.

We are just starting. If you are interested in following up what is being
done you can stay tuned in this mailing list, which will be used as default
communication channel for this activity.

If you are thinking about playing a more active role, feel free to join our
project in Phabricator[1], the project management tool selected by KDE for
these matters.

There is some evaluation and technical work to do before we can really make
any commitment in terms of outcome so we have little intention to make much
noise about this until we see "the end of the tunnel".
