Advice for getting started

Hi,
I am looking to contribute to FOSS community and Kalgebra seemed like a
great place to start. I am relatively new to this so I would like some help
getting started.

I am specifically interested in knowing where to start to get a hang of the
source code. I have already downloaded and compiled the source.
