Hi edu'ers!
I'm sending this e-mail to propose Bilbao [1] as a place to celebrate the
next KDE Edu meeting.
Our local contact would be Dani Gutierrez, he is working at the Basque
Country University (UPV, Universidad del Pais Vasco) and in the Free
Software Office of the Basque Government. I know him since last year when he
(and his team) organized the Akademy-es (Spanish Akademy-like event), since
then he's been quite an active member in the KDE Spain association and I'm
sure he will be able to do a good job organizing it.
The meeting would happen in the UPV premises or in a place related to public
education, which I think it is a good because it gets us in a university, so
gets KDE Edu physically closer to the education community. Additionaly we're
planning to prepare some talks to be given to the local teaching people who
want to attend, that would be also a good way to get us known and get our
discussions started.
About the timing, there's nothing decided yet, so we should decide now
considering the organisation limitations (which I think that are not very
strong).
What do you think about it? Do you want to be a part of it?
Thank you :)
Aleix
