The problem I have with any kind if lib is that fact that it is a lib ;-) QWT 
would be quite a dependency for kdeedu, I doubt it is installed in any 
default setup of the major distributions...
Beside that I do think that qwt is a great lib and provides very nice widgets 
and other stuff.
