Season of KDE 2024 mentee prady0t has just published video tutorials
explaining how to use Selenium AT-SPI to measure software's energy
consumption and test the accessibility of KDE apps.
Check out the videos here:
https://tube.kockatoo.org/w/p/8rDdG3c3UKk55N9VcpmaTR?playlistPosition=1
These 4 short videos will guide KDE developers in setting up Selenium
and explain how the accerciser utility works. Accerciser is a tool used
to identify and test GUI accessibility elements.
Is anyone in the KDE Eco community interested in preparing some Selenium
scripts for Okular and Kate? That way we can compare results with the
kdotool-based emulation tool KdeEcoTest? Among other things, this would
allow us to test the energy profiles of the emulation tools themselves.
Cheers,
Joseph
