The symptoms sound identical to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=484431
This bug is for X11, the other is for Wayland.


We need some logs from your system in order to get a better idea of what's
happening.

The next time this happens on your system, can you please run the following
command and copy the output into this issue?
Change the date after "since" from 2024-MM-DD to the actual date (e.g.
2024-07-17 if it happened today)

journalctl -g  plasma --since "2024-YY-DD" --no-pager
