KMyMoney automatic payments & deposits

I finally gave up on my Microsoft Money and was so excited to discover
KMyMoney.  However, when I set up my recurring payments and deposits that I
have checked to "Enter this schedule into the register automatically
when it is due" it does not automatically enter the transaction and I have
to manually enter it the following day.  Am I missing something?  I
appreciate any help.
