Some other features of K-Mail are obscured, as well. I recently learned one can
open a draft / template message for editing by double-clicking the title in the
message list.

The documentation is seriously out of date (KDE4 -- 2013). I'm working on an
update to the documentation, and would be happy to have one or two
collaborators, if anyone is interested in that. I'll make sure the tabbed view is
mentioned somewhere.
