Bad HTML on line 36 of the source file:

(36) ... <p>The basic principle behind <�span class="application">Git</span>

The HTML fails to render properly in both Firefox and Chrome. The browser 
can't recognize the "<" as the beginning of a "span" tag because of the odd 
UTF-16 (?) character embedded in the HTML source, so it displays the tag as 
if it were data. Here's a screenshot (from Firefox -- Chrome is slightly 
different, but still problematic):
