This is the date of the last revision of the documentation, so it's always a
past date, never a future date. The documentation is not the place for such
information.
If you want to add a release date you can set it using the appstream file:
https://jriddell.org/2019/04/04/add-appstream-release-data-to-your-app-releases/
I personally discourage that, because I think that the place for the release
date is outside the tarball, but still.
I'm going to revert this specific change.
