The contents sidebar is closer to a tree-view, which follows the
single/double-click settings. Also systemsettings provides one.
Yes, it could be made more tree-view like to make it less confusing, and/or an
alternative view (like systemsettings) which follow that behavior could be
created. I disagree that the current request, in its current form, should be
implemented.
