KIconEdit Issues

When pasting data into the icon window, nothing visible happens.  Did the data get pasted?  Who knows?  Until....the mouse is clicked anywhere in the window, then *poof* the pasted data appears.  Paste conventionally works such that pasted data is visible immediately.  Also, there doesn't appear to be .ico format in the Save As dialog.  Being an icon editor, it seems to me .ico should be the prominent save format.
