Appologies for the delay in reviewing this.  I have checked over it, and am happy for the changes to be made if they represent the preferred methodology of documenting standard behaviour.  I think the only change required is in doc/dialogs.docbook where you have identified a missing png.  This looks like it is redundant as it references a png that is no longer supplied having been replaced, it looks like I made an error here.  The whole of the second inlinemediaobject from line 265 can be removed.
