Hi,
Reading the logs of kubuntu IRC channels and Mageia mailing lists +
Vishesh blog about the sane defaults I can say only one thing: the most
important part is how to switch it off (some part of my previous
experience with Nepomuk). ;)
To be serious, there is not much to write about almost empty screen now.
Only the sophisticated (at least not so obvious) way to switch it off
described by Vishesh. If it works (small home dir, not much files, ASCII
encoding, etc.) it just works. If it does not work, the best way is to
switch it off.
Just my two cents.
Best regards,
Yuri
P.S. Sorry for too many "switch it off". Nepomuk is working here for some
years, but still not worth its resource consumption.
