Hi,

Your scanner is supported by free SANE drivers:

http://www.sane-project.org/cgi-bin/driver.pl?manu=canon&model=lide20&bus=any&v=&p=

So it is enough to install sane-backends package then use Skanlite or scan
directly from digiKam.

In case that it will not work

1. Try to install the latest SANE drivers from git:

https://launchpad.net/~rolfbensch/+archive/sane-git

2. Write an email to the sane-devel mailing list:
sane-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org The page to subscribe:

http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sane-devel

This is the mailing list to discuss KDE documentation so your question is
off topic here.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Yuri
