[kde-doc-english] skanlite interface vs. on-line manual

Hi,

I like to use Skanlite (on openSuse 11.4) because it covers a larger
portion of the HP 4370 platen than XSane.

However, recently (after an update to 0.7) the behavior no longer
matches the man pages.

Formerly the hand-drawn selection area was the only area scanned. Now
there are multiple areas outlined automatically in red, each scanned
separately. In attempting to scan an award certificate, Skanlite finds
four areas. But I want just one picture of the document.

Is there a way to turn off the preliminary scans of the areas outlined
in red?

Suggestion: make the first scan the manually selected one, allowing the
user to avoid going through multiple scans that will be discarded. Or
make the order selectable by, for example, clicking on the desired area
marker to highlight the next scan.

Thanks,
Bill Flanagan
