Sorry. I didn't explain what do this path in KrViewer:
tar:/home/frank/archive.tar.gz/  -->  browsing content of archive tar.gz (this
path is right)
file://home/frank/archive.tar.gz/ --> viewing file as text file

Text 'views a tar.gz archive' should be replaced, if it doesn't mean as
'browsing archive'. If it does mean as viewing a file then it have to be
written this:
file://home/frank/archive.tar.gz/ views a file.

The path shows possibility of KrViewer. KrViewer can to view/browsing all file
or directories as Konqueror. See to surrounding path in the doc:
