In the domentation (krusader_menu-commands.pot; menu-commands.docbook:201):
Compares two current files by content - one from each panel via an external
graphical diff utility. By default &kompare; (part of the kdebase package) is
used, but you can also use &eg; <ulink
url="http://furius.ca/xxdiff/"><application>xxdiff</application></ulink> or
<ulink
url="http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net"><application>Kdiff3</application></ulink> ,
change it in the <link linkend="konfig-dependencies">Konfigurator Dependencies
page</link>.

My deduction:
It's written "By default &kompare; (part of the kdebase package) is used" in
the item of documentation. Application Kompare isn't part of the kdebase
package. Kompare is individual package.
