The english documentation has 
"The most common use is to prefix the command line to start your application 
with <userinput><command>valgrind</command> <option>--tool=callgrind</option>
</userinput>, as in:..."
So that seems to be ok.

The french team ships an outdated translation (older than one year), that is 
the problem.

Mickaël, please file a bugreport on bugs.kde.org (Product: i18n Component:fr) 
about this issue, it can only be fixed by the french translation team.
